183-DAY RULE
IRS rule which helps in finding out if an individual, a dual taxpayer, has to pay taxes in the United States. Part of the substantial presence test, aliens generally apply the rule to establish residency in the US. The determining factor is whether the individual has been staying in America for more than 183 days.
