80-10-10 MORTGAGE
Mortgage transaction in which the first and second mortgage are originated at the same time. The first mortgage has 80% loan-to-value ratio while the second one has 10% loan-to-value ratio, and the borrower gives a 10% down payment. These piggy-back mortgage transactions are often used by borrowers in order to avoid paying private mortgage insurance.
