ACCOUNTING ERROR
An unintentional error in an item or report in accounting. It is usually the disagreements in dollar figures, or an error in using accounting policy incorrectly. It is not related to fraud because it an unintentional error, linking an error to fraud is usually hiding or altering a data for personal gain.
