ADVANCE CORPORATION TAX - ACT
A corporate taxes' prepayment given by companies in the United Kingdom that segregates the payment to its shareholders. The tax was introduced in 1973 but later on abolished in 1993 by the former Prime Minister Gordon Brown; but a 10% tax relief on dividend income still remains.
