Although there are no physical Bitcoins, it is considered a crypto-currency because it uses cryptography for security. Balances and transactions are recorded on a public ledger, which are validated by massive amount of computing power. The digital currency. following the ideas in a white paper, is created in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto.
