BROKERAGE ACCOUNT
Account of an investor to a licensed brokerage firm , allowing the latter to deposit funds with the broker and enter investment orders through the brokerage. The firm then carries out these orders on behalf of the investor. The investor owns the assets in that account, and any capital gains must be declared as income.
