CALCULATION AGENT
A body that concludes the amount value of an investment product like swap. A calculation agent computes the worth of a derivative or the amount indebted from each individual. Another job of the agent is to set up the price for a structured goods and may act as its issuer and guarantor. This agent is not a fiduciary, but is assumed to stay away from clash of interest and act in good faith. Its decisions are regarded conclusive. If there will be a dispute on the calculation agent's conclusion, it can be resolve by an uninvolved third-party dealer.
