CALLABLE PREFERRED STOCK

A kind of chosen stock in which the person who issues it has the capability to redeem or call in the stock at a preset amount after a specified period. The conditions of a callable preferred stock issue, like the period after which it can be called, the call premium (if any) and the call amount are all characterized in the catalogue at the moment of issue and cannot be alter in the future. As with common chosen shares, callable preferred shares dividends should be remunerated by the person who issues before any dividends on its ordinary shares.
