CHATTEL MORTGAGE
Loan arrangement in which any movable personal property is used to secure the loan. In a conventional loan, it is secured by the property itself. But with this mortgage, the lender has a lien against chattel or movable personal property. And at one point, the borrower takes back full control of the chattel.
