Additional individual attempting to obtain a loan with a primary applicant. One of the reasons a potential borrower wants a co-applicant is to increase his odds of qualifying for a loan or to be eligible for a greater loan. This is also sought if the loan will be used to purchase a property, to be owned by both borrowers including spouses or business partners.
