CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS
Amount of loss incurred for not being able to use business property or equipment. Only some types of insurance can shoulder the lost business income if the property or equipment is damaged because of an accident or a natural disaster. Considered an indirect loss, it can also pertain to a loss caused by a hazard the insured is not covered for.
