CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION ACT
Act that determine and outline the standards applied to national banks. An amendment to the National Bank Act, it seeks to increase oversight and clarify the laws that govern financial transactions to protect consumers from these transactions. This legislation led to the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which regulates various financial products and services.
