CORPORATE BOND
Debt security issued by a company that is sold to investors. Backing such bond is the company’s capacity to pay, normally money to be earned from operations in the future. In some instances, the firm’s physical assets may be used as collateral for these bonds. Has greater risk than government bonds, its interest rates are almost always higher.
