Regulatory group evaluating underwriters’ documentation. The committee develops policies on public debt and debt financing. It also takes into account the fairness and soundness of underwriting compensation and arrangements proposed by members. In the United States, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s corporate financing committee ensures the underwriting terms and conditions are fair and reasonable to both the issuer and investors.
