CORRESPONDENT BANK
Financial institution which provides services on behalf of another financial institution. These banks can conduct business transactions, accept deposits, and collate documents for another institution. It is most apparent in businesses done in foreign countries. Correspondent banks also act as a local bank’s agent overseas.
