CUSTOMS BARRIER
Measure imposed to restrain international trade, specifically the level of trade throughout international borders by implementing limitations on imports and/or exports. This is done to protect a government’s domestic industry against foreign competition, or limit exportation of products and services considered significant to a country’s economic health. Also called trade barrier.
