DOMINI 400 SOCIAL INDEX
Market cap weighted stock index of 400 publicly traded firms that are able to meet certain standards of social and environmental excellence. Companies included in this index have positive records on issues including employee and human relations, environmental and product safety, and corporate governance. The index seeks to help socially conscious investors to weigh social and environmental factors in investment choices. Firms engaged in the business of alcohol, firearms, gambling, military weapons, nuclear powers, and tobacco are automatically excluded.
