DOW JONES TRANSPORTATION AVERAGE - DJTA
Price-weighted average of 20 stocks of the transportation sector being traded in the United States. The oldest US stock index, the index is launched by co-founder of Dow Jones & Company Charles Dow in 1884. Initially, the index is made up of nine railroad firms and two non-railroad firms. Today, Aside from railroads, the index also includes airlines, delivery services, logistics companies, marine transportation, and trucking.
