DUPONT ANALYSIS
Performance measurement where assets are gauged at their gross book value to come up with a higher return on equity (ROE). Initiated by the DuPont Corporation in 1920s, the analysis outlines the ROE is influenced by three factors: operating efficiency, asset use efficiency, and financial leverage. Also called DuPont identity.
