EMPLOYMENT SITUATION REPORT
Monthly report comprised of a set of surveys in its endeavor to monitor the labor market. Released by the US Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, the report is comprised of the following:
- Unemployment rate - number of unemployed workers of the labor force
- Nonfarm payroll employment - number of employees working in the US business or government, either part-time or full-time employees
- Average workweek - average number of hours per week in the nonfarm sector
- Average hourly earnings - average basic hourly rate for key industries
