F. DUANE ACKERMAN
This person was the CEO of BellSouth from 1997 to 2006, and its Chairman from 1998 to 2006. He was governing the company when the deregulation of the telephone industry occurred. The company expanded its presence internationally thanks to Ackerman. Besides, he supervised its merger with AT&T in 2006.
