GHC
Currency abbreviation for the Ghanaian cedi, the official currency of the Republic of Ghana. Introduced in 2007, the term cedi comes from the African word cowry shell, previous form of Ghanaian currency. Regulated and issued by the Bank of Ghana, banknotes are issued in 1, 5, 10, 20 ,and 50 denominations.
