GOLDEN HANDCUFFS
Collection of financial incentives designed to encourage employees to stay with a firm. These incentives are offered by companies to existing employees as a way of retaining major employees and escalating employee retention rates. These are common in industries where highly-compensated employees are possibly to transfer from firm to firm. Also called golden handshakes.
