GREEN LEVY
Tax imposed by a government on sources of pollution or carbon emission. It aims to discourage usage of gas guzzlers and inefficient sources of energy, as well as encourage implementation of environment-friendly alternatives. It is most commonly used in a tax on fuel-inefficient vehicles.
