GROUP OF SEVEN - G-7

Forum of the world’s seven most industrialized and powerful economies. Formed in 1975, it is initially composed of six countries namely France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Canada was invited to join G7 in 1976. The group convenes periodically to talk about international economic and monetary concerns. They also have semi-annual meetings specifically to being the focus of much media attention.
