GROUP TERM LIFE INSURANCE
Insurance coverage offered to a group of individuals. The coverage provides benefit to the declared beneficiaries if the covered individual passes away during the specified covered period. In other types of group benefits, this is generally less expensive than comparable individual policy coverage, hence making it a main component in employee benefit package.
