GUARANTEED DEATH BENEFIT
Ensuring the declared beneficiary to receive a minimum amount of death benefits if the annuitant holder dies before the annuity starts to pay benefits. It varies among firms and contracts, but the beneficiary is ensured an amount equivalent to what was placed or the contract value on the most recent policy anniversary statement, whichever is greater.
