INTERNATIONAL POVERTY LINE
An international financial threshold in which an individual is considered to be living in poverty. This is determined by taking the threshold for every country and converting it into dollars. This was initially set to roughly $1 a day. When purchasing power parity and all goods consumed are part of the computation, it allows organizations to determine which populations live in poverty.
