LARRY ELLISON
The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Oracle Corporation, a software company. The company of this college dropout went public successfully in 1986 but after its public debut, it went through quality-control problems in 1988. The then Software Development Laboratories experienced cash flow problems, operating losses, and decrease of share price. The company was on the verge of bankruptcy two years later. But the company surpassed these issues in 1994 under new top management. Ellison was able to recognize early the importance of internet and benefited from the dot-com boom.
As of September 2013, his net worth is $41 billion, which make him part of Forbes’ Top 100 Billionaires in the World.
