The then Software Development Laboratories experienced cash flow problems, operating losses, and decrease of share price. The company was on the verge of bankruptcy two years later. But the company surpassed these issues in 1994 under new top management. Ellison was able to recognize early the importance of internet and benefited from the dot-com boom.
