LONG/SHORT FUND
A mutual fund that imitates some trading strategies usually done by a hedge fund. Unlike most mutual funds, it employs leverage, derivatives and short positions in an attempt to maximize total returns, disregarding the present market conditions. The law limits the amount of leverage used, as well as the number of derivatives and short positions that this fund may contain. These are primarily invested in stocks.
