LUDWIG VON MISES

One of the most powerful and prominent Austrian economists of all time. He was the proponent of laissez-faire economics and a pious opponent of all forms of socialism and interventionism. Born in Austria-Hungary in 1881, Mises also wrote vastly on monetary economics and inflation.

He used to teach at the University of Vienna and New York University. His most-renowned work, Human Action, got published in 1949. The Ludwig von Mises Institute, an Austrian School of Economics, was named in honor of this well-known economist.
