A market that features at least one trait of a monopoly such as high price levels, supply restraints, or excessive barriers to enter. Because it would be composed of one supplying company, consumers have no choice but to buy solely from this company. Without right legislation or controls, this company obtains the power to increase prices without adversely affecting demand for its products and/or services.
