SERIES 86/87
Series 86/87 is also referred to as the Research Analyst Qualification Exam. It is an examination under the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to become research analysts for broker/dealers that are members of FINRA the are responsible for the production of research report content with their names as the author. Series 86/87 was made to challenge the knowledge of test takers regarding industry rules and best practices. The exam is composed of a total of 150 questions from both Series 86 (100) and Series 87 (50) to be accomplished within four hours for Series 86 and 90 minutes for Series 87 with a passing grade of 70%.
