STOCK POWER
Legal power of attorney enabling transferring the ownership of a stock to another party. This is usually required when an owner choose to take physical possession of securities certificates. Details included in the stock power are the owner’s name, shares to be transferred, stock certificates, and cost basis of the shares. Also called security power form.
