TERM REPURCHASE AGREEMENT
Arrangement in which a bank agrees to purchase securities from a dealer, then resells it over a short time period at a predetermined price. Used as a short-term cash-investment alternative, the interest paid for the deal is the difference between the buy and sell prices.
