TRANSACTION COSTS
Expenditures incurred in purchasing and/or selling securities. The costs include brokers’ commissions and spreads. Transaction costs are fees charged by financial firms to buyers and sellers and paid for facilitating these transactions. It also refers to expenses relative to buying and selling real estate properties including the agent’s commission, and also closing costs such as appraisal fees, title search fees, and government fees.
