UN

The United Nations is an international organization recognized in 1945 that mitigates between member countries regarding political, economic, and social issues of the world. The United Nations has done work to aid countries in need by addressing issues using economic and social programs, regulation and improvement of human rights, and formulating plans to avoid and alleviate global conflicts. The United Nations is made up of teams that have different aims: for legislation there is the General Assembly, for the promotion of peace there is the Security council, for economic development there is the Economic and Social council, and for administration, information, and judicial matters there is the Secretariat. It is affiliated with the World Health Organization or WHO, the United Children’s Fund or UNICEF, and the World Food Programme.
