USAIG
The United States Aircraft Insurance Group is the first aviation insurance company in the United States. It was founded by World War I flying ace, Reed McKinley Chambers and pilot, David C. Beebe in 1928. The foundation of the company came about when Chambers realized the need for aviation insurance following the bankruptcy of the airline he had formed, Florida AIrways, after losing four planes to storms and accidents in 1926.
