"A" ROUND FINANCING
First major round of business financing normally in the form of convertible preferred stock, which is done by private equity investors or venture capitalists. An "A" round by investors usually occurs following the founders have utilized their seed money in order to give a proof of concept, showing their business concept is a viable and profitable one.
