STOCK MARKET CRASH OF 1987
Rapid and one of the most severe downturn in stock prices which took place on October 19, 1987. Following five days of intensifying stock market plunges, selling pressure reached a peak on this day, which is called Black Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) dropped 22% and recorded a loss of $500 billion in value.
