ABSOLUTE AUCTION
A kind of auction wherein the highest bidder is awarded with the sale. Reserve price, which sets a minimum required bid for the item to be sold, do not exist on absolute auctions. Foreclosed properties maybe related as a type of absolute auction., wherein the foreclosed property is acquired by the winning bid. This is in contrast to a lender confirmation auction, wherein the bid must be approved by the lender first before the transaction will be completed.
