ACCELERATED OPTION
This term is used to refer to an option that can be found in an insurance contract usually taking the form of a rider, that gives partial or accelerated benefits sooner than the date that it should have been payable. As an alternative, common in life insurance contracts, this kind of option can mean the option that gives the policyholder the right to apply for the accumulated cash value in order to pay off the whole policy.
