ACTIVE MANAGEMENT
Usage of human element such as a team of managers, co-managers or single manager for the active management of the portfolio of a fund. Active managers depend on forecast, analytical research, and their own assessment and experience in conducting investment decision on what type of securities to buy, sell and hold. Contrary to active management is the passive management; also known as "indexing."
