An individual's characteristics which is utilized by market researchers to build the psychographic profile of an individual. The opinions, interest, and activities of the individual are usually extracted by researchers by means of their responses to questions or statements in a survey. The most usuall applications of AIO are in advertising and market segmentation, where they assist in tailor fitting the promotional and marketing efforts of a company to its target audience.
