ACTUARIAL BALANCE
The result of the Social Security Trust Fund's current income rate minus the obligations of Social Security in the future. The Social Security Program was said to be in the state of actuarial balance, if the Social Security's summarized cross rate is inline with the summarized income rate for any provided valuation period.
Widely referred as the "solvency" of the Social Security System.
