ADEQUATE DISCLOSURE
A concept in accounting which confirms that all necessary information is supplied in a financial statement. The adequate disclosure pertains to the capacity for financial statements, supplemental schedules and/or footnotes, to give a clear and comprehensive description of the financial position of a company. The readers of the financial statements of a company, including creditors and investors, must be able to ascertain the financial health of the company through a review of a financial statement with adequate disclosure.
