ADHOCRACY
A form of business management which gives emphasis to self-organization and individual initiative for the accomplishment of tasks. This opposes bureaucracy which depends on a set hierarchy and a set of defined rules to accomplish the goals of the organization. Alvin Toffler popularized this term during the 1970s.
