ADVERTISED PRICE
The price of service or product as announced or displayed in an advertisement or in TV/radio commercial. If the advertised price of a product is substantially bellow the normal price, it is most probably a loss-leader whose price is intended to stir customers towards the retail store, hoping to acquire additional purchases.
A price-matching guarantee, based on the advertised price for a specific product, may be offered by a company to its customers. If a rival company will offer the same product below the advertised price, the company will either refund the difference if the customer has already made a purchase of the product or match the lower price.
