ADVERTISING COSTS
A category appended in financial accounting that is intended to represent the expenses associated with the promotion of an entity, industry, brand, product name, or a particular service or product for the stimulation of desire the product or services of an entity. The space in print and online venues, radio and broadcast time, and direct mail advertising are included in advertising costs. Advertising costs commonly lands over the SG&A expenses in the income statement of a company.
