AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE - AMEX
It is the third biggest stock exchange in the United States in terms of volume. It was acquired in 2008 by the NYSE Euronext and was renamed to NYSE Amex Equities a year after. The American Exchange handles around 10% of all the securities being traded in the US and it is located in New York City.
